Aspiring National NRM Vice Chairman Central Region candidate Kyeswa Hakim drums for support from Acholi youth.

The Aspiring candidate for the position of National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the the Central Region Mr. Hakim Kyeswa has kickstarted mobilisations in the Nothern Region seeking their support for the cause from the youth ahead of the delagare conference in August 2025. 

  “This afternoon, in our shared struggle to reclaim the NRM for our generation, I held a highly productive meeting with District Youth League executives from the Acholi Sub-Region. Our engagement focused squarely on consolidating support ahead of the August delegates’ conference” he said

Mr. Hakim urged the youth leaders to mobiliser their fellow youth to support the generational movement.

“I formally called on them to join our generational movement for the position of NRM National Vice Chairman, Central Region” he said

Accordingly he said that they pledged their full support to mobilise the youth in the subregion.

“Their response was resolute. Together, we mapped a unified strategy to mobilize youth power across Acholi, recognizing this sub-region as the torchbearer of our revolution. As one leader declared: "When the young people unite, no status quo can survive" he said

He added that “This force marks a critical leap forward. Acholi’s energy will ignite momentum across the North and fuel our takeover of the party’s leadership. But we cannot pause ground mobilization begins this Saturday, May 31st in Gulu” he said.
