A Pass asserts his unique talent surpasses Mowzey Radio
A Pass has suggested that he may be lyrically superior to the late Mowzey Radio, one of Uganda’s most celebrated vocalists and songwriters.
The conversation began when a fan on X asked who was lyrically better between A Pass and Radio. In response, A Pass acknowledged Radio’s talent but expressed confidence in his own abilities.
It’s hard to compare art and artists because it’s all subjective. Plus, it would be fair if Radio was alive today. He was an amazing storyteller and poet. I am very different because I can do the storytelling/poem-like music but also have a lot of rap elements.
So you can’t compare that. I can’t be compared to any Ugandan artist. I do what they do so well and also do what they can’t do.
Mowzey Radio, who passed away in 2018, was known for his sweet voice, poetic lyrics, and his role in the Goodlyfe Crew duo alongside Weasel.
Many Ugandan artists still regard him as the greatest songwriter and vocalist the country has ever seen.
