The Gaddafi versus Blacks Power match at the Works playground in Entebbe Municipality was one of the eagerly awaited duels on the penultimate round of the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League.
This contest witnessed free access to the venue for all the home fans with mouth-watering action in every single minute played.
By close of business for the 90 minutes, 10-man Blacks Power soldiered on gallantly to hold Gaddafi to a goal-less draw.
Paul Oonyu was sent off for a sent bookable offence mid-way the first half by FIFA Referee Lucky Kasalirwe but the visitors played their hearts out to deservedly earn a point on the road.
In fact, Blacks Power would have taken maximum points had Nigerian born forward Innocent Maduka scored the one-against-one encounter with goalkeeper Muhammad Ssekeba.
Ssekeba was well positioned to thwart the Maduka in the 37th minute.
Gaddafi had a late free-kick by former Uganda Cranes defender Savio Kabugo narrowly miss target in the closing moments of the game.
As it stands now, Gaddafi has 47 points with their last game of the campaign away to Kataka at Mbale City Stadium on Saturday, 21st June 2025.
Blacks Power is on 46 points. Their last game in the season is at home against relegation fighting Busoga United (30 points).

Buhimba United Saints lost 3-4 to a resilient Kigezi Home Boyz at the Kigaaya primary school playground in Kikuube district.
Charles Waibi and Joseph Seremba each scored a brace for Kigezi Home Boyz.
John Wesley Kisakye, Derrick Byabachwezi and Davis Kakaire got the goals for the home side in a 7-goals thriller before a capacity crowd.
Buhimba United Saints only needed a point to qualify for the Uganda Premier League but lost the contest as they now remain on 49 points.

On the contrary, it was a great victory for the Gorrillas on the road as they climb to 30 points with the last game of the season coming against MYDA in Kabale.
Calvary was held to a non-scoring draw by Onduparaka in Arua.
Onduparaka climaxed their season with 38 points. Meanwhile, Calvary added their points’ tally of the season to 49, with a home game against Paidha Black Angels on the last day of the season in Midigo, Yumbe.
MYDA smiled to a 2-0 home win overKaaro Karungi at the Kongunga playground in Bukedea.
Ntugasaze edged Kataka 1-0 at Mityana Ssaza ground.
In Zombo, Paidha Black Angels recorded a 2-1 home victory overKiyinda Boys at the Bar Okoro stadium.
At the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru, Busoga United humiliated already relegated Booma 7-0.
Promotion:
Three top clubs will earn direction promotion to the Star Times Uganda Premier League.
Demotion:
Four bottom placed clubs will be relegated to the respective regional leagues.
Final day games:
The final matches of the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League will all be played on Saturday, 21st June 2025.
Relegated Booma will host Arua Hill at the Masindi stadium.
Blacks Power shall host Busoga at the PTC playground in Lira city.
Kataka will play-host to Gaddafi at the Mbale city stadium.
Calvary battles Paidha Black Angels at the Midigo primary school in Yumbe during the West Nile derby.
